At Woodend Primary School we pride ourselves on giving our students the necessary skills to be fully equipped for the future. Students have access to a range of innovative digital technologies and resources. These technologies also support us in providing an inclusive learning environment.
F-3
From Foundation to Year 3 students have access to school iPads and laptop devices. These devices are utilised to support the teaching and learning program.
Bring Your Own Specified Device Program Year 4-6
Students in Year 4-6 are invited to provide their own Chromebook for use in the classroom. Prior to students moving into Year 4 we hold an information session for families to outline how this program operates and information on device purchase. All classes in Year 4-6 utilise Google Classroom.
Technology Curriculum
Design and digital technology is embedded through our inquiry learning from Foundation to Year 6. Students are encouraged to develop their abilities in these areas through experiences using coding applications and various robotics tools like Blue Bots, Edisons and Dash and Dot.
Creating positive digital citizens is important to us at Woodend Primary School, we incorporate cybersafety into our inquiry curriculum as well as our social and emotional learning program. We are an ESmart School.
